Old Coca Cola Sign Over a Pepsi Dispenser (2018-07-12 16-25-31a)

A little ironic humor with the old “Ice Cold Coca Cola Sold Here” sign contrasting with the Pepsi dispenser. The photo was taken at Ken’s Diner and Grill, 3353 Dempster Street, Skokie, Illinois.

I used a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera to take the photo and Luminar 2018 to edit it. First I straightened the image and cropped it slightly then I added the Accent-AI filter. Then I used the RAW Develop filter to lower the temperature and the tint, raise the contrast, shadows and lowered the highlights. I used the Brilliance/Warmth filter to lower the warmth and added the Structure and Denoise filters.

    • Yes, but there are limitations. There are a few cell phone cameras that can shoot RAW. Most just produce JPGs. You can edit a JPG but you can’t do as much as you can with a RAW file.

If you are interested in learning how to edit, I recommend you get a copy of Luminar 2018. That’s the program I use the most and it is very easy to learn. It’s available for Mac or Windows and isn’t very expensive although the price will be going up later this year.
