In 12 weeks white snow will be a distant memory and white sand will be the background for happy summer pictures. This photo was taken at Pavillion Beach in my hometown, Gloucester Massachusetts, the day before Saint Peter’s Fiesta, the annual town celebration honoring the patron of Gloucester’s fishing fleet. It’s held the last weekend in June every year.
Our summer is just about right but the water temperature is a bit cold until usually late July.
The summer in your area must be great compared to the extreme heat in the South which feels like an oven.
You’ve seen pictures with snow and pictures with sand. Three guesses which ones I prefer taking…
Two months is not a long time to wait, is it?
It isn’t but it seems like a long time once you grow weary of snow.
You’re right, Paul. If I were there, I would feel that those two months were twenty years!
I heard that! Say no to snow
Well not me. I rather have cold and winter any day of the year.
When I was younger I loved to play in the snow. Now it affects my arthritis. I’m ready for summer.
Well, I am not really looking forward to summer with all the humidex highs here.
