Gary J Sibio
This is Smaug, my pet Chinese Water Dragon. I bought her about 3 1/2 years ago. She is very friendly. When you walk by her tank she comes over by you and begs to be held for a while. If you don’t recognize it, the name Smaug comes from one of the dragons in JRR Tolkien’s epic trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings.”
A while back I took a photo of her sitting in her water dish. The photo was taken using a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera.

Although edited to improve the photo, I didn't do any special effects on this one.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to adjust the lighting and boost the contrast, vibrance, saturation in the greens and clarity. I also sharpened it a bit and erased a couple of small distractions.

Chinese Water Dragon with Partial Black & White and Vignette (2016-08-08 23-12-02aa)
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I used Luminar 2018 to apply the 'Bloody Mary' preset from the basic collection. This preset converts the image to black and white except those areas which have some red in them. Then I added the Details Enhancer filter and used the Details filter to boost the contrast and clarity. Then I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to add a vignette.

Chinese Water Dragon with Sobel Special Effect (2016-08-08 23-12-02b)
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I used ACDSee Ultimate 2018 to apply the Sobel special effect with the 'Vivid Light' blend mode. Then I adjusted the lighting a bit.
Despite what it looks like here, the lizard really is very friendly and begs to be held.
