A beautiful shot-not wonder it’s called a queen!
Indeed, it was almost our state flower, but the orange ca poppy won out.

They are, and this is the only place I have seen them.
How beautiful is this bloom. Kind of like hibiscus (hibiscuts :)) blooms.
Its the same size as the giant ones. But with a crinkly petal.
