Sam, to prove to the world he was the Great, had posted a lot of images of himself and his hot gal to Facebook. Every day there were at least two images, sometimes a video, of he and Sellie rub a dubbing.
There are certain moves in Salsa dancing when the partners press their nether regions together. Sam loved posting those pictures. He wondered if Roberta saw them and would die of jealousy.
Show Off Sam didn’t realise his boss had seen them, which is why his contract was terminated, and that he was having difficulty in getting another job because any ‘due diligence’ would turn up those images proving that Sam was unsuitable for the job.
He expected employers to be lined up around the block begging him to work for them.
His applications received no response, his walk ins went well, but jobs were never offered.
Sam did not appreciate that any real company, any major business, would do its due diligence, and seeing those lascivious images plastered on Facebook, would instantly refuse to hire him.
Sam’s pocket was getting empty and to shut up his parents who had warned him not to leave the multinational, he went far below his level and grabbed a make work kind of position to keep himself in beer money, and, of course, be able to treat his girl friend.
He didn’t want Selena to know he was living pay cheque to pay cheque, as that didn’t gel with his persona. Selena thought he had money, thought he was somebody.
For her part, she kept expecting him to rent a luxury flat and move her in. Instead, week after week he remained living with his parents, and she was still renting a room where their trysts were conducted.
As she was fooled by his Show Off Sam persona, she came to the conclusion she wasn’t important to him, just a side piece. She began looking for another man.
Unlike Sam, she wouldn’t end the relationship until she had a place to go, so stuck with him.
