In The Deep: My Movie Review

In The Deep, has also its other title called 47 Meters Down, is a 2017 British survival horror film about a cage diving experience of two female best friends who got stuck 47 meters deep on the ocean floor, where huge sharks lurk for their presence.

This movie had only $5.5 million production budget and grossed box office budget of $52.7 million. Former pop singer Mandy Moore (Rapunzel of Tangled / Jaime Sullivan of A Walk to Remember) played as Lisa, who got stuck together with her best friend Kate, played by Australian actress Claire Holt (Rebekah Mikaelson of Vampire Diaries and The Originals), as they go for a diving experience inside a cage underwater at Mexico.

This movie runs in 85 minutes and was released on June 26, 2017 in the US and July 28, 2017 in the UK. This movie will really give you knowledge how to survive in case you get stuck and adrift on a cage where hungry underwater predators wait for your escape to have their jaws take a bite. Plus you’ll get oriented of the term “bends” where divers usually get to have it when they’re rushing swimming up to the surface.

A movie that everyone must watch, not for its horror and shocking scenes, but for survival as well, when one get to meet this death-defying predicament that we don’t get to expect. This movie can also tantamount a recent shark movie called The Shallows, only that the sharks here are not that greedy enough to bite, they just wait for the right time to attack, unlike The Shallows, shark is more territorial.

One of the best shark movies I’ve watched so far. You should give it a courage to watch this coz it ain’t gonna bite!!!
