I had just started working. It was a one man’s show and we were just few working there. My boss quite liked me and we got on well
One day he asked me if I would like to have lunch at a Chinese restaurant with him and his family I timidly said yes. I was nervous. I was a country bumpkin as I had left the shores of my native land seeking greener pastures My folks said I could go.
I did not like that sweet corn and crab soup as I had never tasted it before nor did I enjoy anything else as I was nervous.
That is history now. Not only have I visited 5 star hotels the world over including Chinese restaurants I am good at preparing Chinese dishes.

I have never had lunch with any boss or his family. I am glad you got through that lunch it sounds like you were really nervous, I am a big fan of American Chinese food and when I can get some I really enjoy it,
I had great rapport with my boss’s family.
When I was still busy, I had business lunches with my boss.
Your first encounter must have been something to remember (lol)
Not with family but I have had many lunches with the boss when I was working.
Those must be business lunches but this was different.
Yes they were. We always had lunch and/or dinner meetings with the sales staff. It was a treat for us!
