music is the sound of the universe. It is always there. Only when we stop and listen to we hear the beauty that is there!
Yes indeed and continues getting me through.
i remember the song that played on the radio when they told me my father’s father died. I remember the song on the radio when mom called and said my grandfather had died. I am sad when I hear those songs but I listen they connect me to what is gone.
but music is also the happy side. The remember the tape skipping at our wedding, for some reason the first song failed, and the first song played was “more than words/” it has since become our song!
You too have the music connection. Not everyone appreciates it the same. Thanks for the stories again.
my favorite memory around music.
I was in my room playing one of my dad’s records (it was an experimental Jazz album he had gotten as a gift from a student and then gave to me).
he came in and said “your taste in music is terrible.” grimaced
I said “dad it’s your album”
he laughed and we joked about that for years!

That is a very powerful song. I am not there yet, and maybe someday. My brother just came down to show me the pictures and explain the surgery. You have four valves and they only have to replace three of them. This time I didn’t cry in front of him, but my one eye is still swollen shut.
I should spend time and instead I keep heading to the shower so I can cry, without getting yelled at. I keep thinking there will be a limit and it will just stop.
How am I going to work tomorrow and the next day and the next day and then, the next day. How am I going to go on.
I am there, although I still look back for short periods. It is a process and you will get there.
My Dad had a valve replaced years ago and he did fine. I am sure your brother will as well.
One step at a time, that is how you do it.
Okay I guess this afternoon as I wait for the phone call, I’ll do the two step.

Mark is in ICU – they did things differently than they originally had planned. My sister called to tell me I was going to need to visit her in jail if things don’t change at the hospital. It’s a good thing I have to work. I couldn’t be there anyway. She spends most of the time in the car. I believe they allow ten minuts an hour.
