Reflection is one of the themes that attract the eye to a photograph, even if, most of the time, the reflections around us go unnoticed. We often forgot to see the beautiful things around us. As I mentioned in a previous post, reflection can take place on various surfaces: lake water, pond, buildings covered with shiny glass, mirrors, glass windows, shiny metal items.I took this photo in Chindia Park, several years ago. It’s a photo I love, because it includes two of my favorite themes; shadows and reflections.

Do you always notice the beautiful things around you?

I draw attention to things that are at first glance uninteresting. They get nice pictures. This is proof of my words.
Sometimes the least interesting places help us to take the most successful pictures.
when we open our eyes to the world, we see more than before!
When the “eyes” of our soul open we see the beauty around us much easier.🙂
that is another way to view this – i like the concept of the eyes of the soul. Is that what a photographer uses at times?
I don’t know what other photographers are like but I see beauty first with my soul. Not valid for everyone.
i have seen some of the images take by John Muir, I wonder if there aren’t many photographers that see with their soul
John Muir is well known as the adventurer, writer, environmentalist and naturalist. He has been the source of inspiration for many photographers. I will never be able to compare myself to those photographers.
it is hard to compare. I have learned much from studying your pictures. I have learned from John Muir.
i have much to learn!
That is a really awesome photo. I need to get out more to see what is happening all around.
Thank you, Sandra. t’s a good idea to go out! I miss to go out. I look forward to doing this again.
This is so awesome! I always try to notice the beauty around me.
Thank you, Ellie. We often have preconceived notions about beauty, but it exists everywhere and everywhere. It is easy to find.
