Bayer: Science for a Better Life – Really?

Normally, Bayer does not run many commercials in the USA.  However, they ran a commercial similar to the one above when I was watching the news yesterday evening.  The theme of the one-minute TV spot was exactly the same:  “Bayer:  Science for a Better Life.”

Is that statement made by Bayer actually true?  Unfortunately, the answer is no.  Bayer has a rather sordid pharmaceutical history.  Bayer experimented on people from concentration camps in Auschwitz during WWII.  If they used people as guinea pigs before, then they are capable of doing it again.

Looking at that last sentence logically brings me to what Bayer has in mind now in order to stem the symptoms of Covid-19.  The drug that Bayer has in mind is hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine.  Last month, Bayer donated three million tablets of chloroquine phosphate to the US government, which is also called Resochin.

Now, President Trump is telling people to try hydroxychloroquine.  He is a man that could not even run a casino properly.  He owned a USFL team with Doug Flutie and Herschel Walker and still could not win a championship.  He thought coronavirus was a “hoax,” but he wants you take something to get rid of the “hoax.”  Stick to Vitamin C, stick to zinc lozenges, and stick to flu medications, but do not take hydroxychloroquine.

In this report from the National Institute of Health, hydroxychloroquine is an obsolete drug against malaria, which means that this drug no longer has the capability to fight back against parasites and infection.  I tell you not to take hydroxychloroquine because all of our lives are on the line now.  

I do vouch for Aleve.  Aleve is pretty good, but Bayer is wrong on this one.
