Wander project four cities in Asia, in a very short time frame!

In 2010 I took an interesting trip. I started off in Tokyo, then wandered to Beijing, then Singapore and finally ended up in Kuala Lumpur. If it had been over the course of a month it would have been more fun; it was literally over the course of two weeks. One of the most interesting parts of the trip was the number of cities. I had done a similar tour in Australia before (Syndey, Canberra, Melbourne) so I was prepared for the double impact.

Typically for me, travel involved going to one city and then being there for a time. You get comfortable in your hotel room and blend into the rhythm of the city you are in. With four cities in 15 days, there isn’t as much blending. I did get to see the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City. I had some of the best sushi I have ever had (Tokoyo), got to visit friends I hadn’t seen in a couple of years (Singapore and Malaysia). Overall the trip was a smash!

The images are from the first parts of the trip (Tokyo and Beijing) there are more pictures I will share later.

One of the things I love about Asia is the people. I feel like it is home (it was for over a year). I love the climate and the fresh fruit. Our hosts took us out for a meal the second night we were in Beijeng. It was a local restaurant, local flavor and the food was really fun. There were dishes I had never tried before (which is rare) and the company was amazing.
