The cocoa or cacao

In the picture is the fruit of the cacao tree which is commonly known as cocoa. The fruit has seeds that are similar to coffee in processing. They are dried and roasted before being placed in the grinder. The cacao tree bears fruit even while still not tall and it continues to bear fruit every season. All the chocolate in the world comes from the cacao fruit which undergo in different kind of processing.

I didn’t know that the chocolate also has caffeine, the reason why I have a little difficulty in sleeping when I eat a chocolate bar after dinner. Sometimes I eat a bar of Milky Way before beditime when I am watching tv. Another hazard to the chocolate is the tendency to have diabetes. That disease regarding the blood sugar is very prevalent now. The cacao fruit, by the way, is usually sold by bulk to the big companies that make chocolate drinks and chocolate bars. Processing of the cacao into chocolate is a complex procedure that it is not practical to do it at home.
