Rivalries always brings out the most emotions between both sides. For example, take a look at the end of the Kansas Jayhawks 81-59 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in a Big XII showdown in Lawrence, KS.
The guard from Kansas State stole the ball without five seconds left and was looking to score an easy two to make the loss an even twenty points. However, Jayhawks center Silvio da Souza came out of nowhere to block the shot. Then, he stands over the guy like that blocked cured the common cold.
That’s when a bunch of pushing and shoving led to a full-on brawl with punches thrown. From the looks of this video, many players will be suspended.
Oh wow. And that is what started it once the player stood over the other. Hell, they were already winning, so why add to the insult.
We’re living in the ego era where pride rules the hearts and minds of the people.
Pretty damn sad. He’ll have to humble himself at some point or get humbled
i just watched the replay. There is no place for this in college athletics. Actually, let’s go further, there is no place for this in sports, period.
I knew that Kansas would have a strange season when they decided to have Snoop Dogg at their Midnight Madness.
i grew up around Bob Knight, that isn’t part of basketball.
Yeah, Bob Knight thinks that the coach is the one that should be hitting players instead of players hitting players. He was a real good coach besides that though.
he only hit one kid ever, and paid a huge price for that.
