During the Christmas and New Year holidays in Australia very few care to stay back home or visit malls. Even the transport services are cancelled so if you wish to enjoy public transport services which are free on Christmas day but is hardly available.
We went to this most visited mall in Canberra on last Saturday (28th December) and found almost nil visitors. In Australia it’s really fun to go to beaches, walking and driving to places in caravan and boating, swimming etc during 22nd December to 10th January .

I am an online shopper and so stayed home.
With us the shopping centers were packed full.
I shop mostly online, and try to avoid the crowds.
