Bowl games for 12/30/19

Four college football games will be played on Monday for the fanatics out there.  Here is a brief schedule of the bowl games.

Servpro First Responder Bowl – Gerald J. Ford Stadium – Dallas, TX – 12:30 PM EST.  The Western Kentucky University (WKU) Hilltoppers (8-4) will take on the Western Michigan University (WMU) Broncos (7-5).  We will see who the best Western will be to start the games off right.  You might need a first responder after reading that corny joke.

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl – Nissan Stadium – Nashville, TN – 4 PM EST.  The Mississippi State Bulldogs (6-6) will take on the Louisville Cardinals (7-5).  Both teams rely on the run game with each team having a 1,000 yard rusher in their backfield.  If you understand the music industry, then you will understand why a loan company is sponsoring the Music City Bowl.

Redbox Bowl – Levi’s Stadium – Santa Clara, CA – 4 PM EST.  The California Golden Bears (7-5) will take on the Illinois Fighting Illini (6-6).  The Redbox Bowl is the appropriate name for this bowl since it is on at the same time as the Music City Bowl.  You will be able to watch one bowl and watch the recording of the other bowl later, so that you will be able to save yourself a trip to your local Redbox.

Capital One Orange Bowl – Hard Rock Stadium – Miami, FL – 8 PM EST.  The #9 Florida Gators (10-2) will go against the #24 Virginia Cavaliers (9-4) in the only ranked match-up of the day.  How convenient that Florida is playing their bowl game in Florida.
