I know not all of you have Netflix, but, if not, maybe there is another way you can watch this TV show. So far, I have seen 3 seasons of it.
It is created by: Robia Rashid.
The main cast are: Keir Gilchrist who is played by Sam.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is Elsa, his mother.
Michael Rapaport is Doug, his father.
Brigette Lundy-Paine is Casey, his sister
Paige is played by: Jenna Boyd, his girlfriend
Julia, his therapist is played by: Amy Okudia.
Sam is the main character in the show. He is diagnosed with Autism. His mother is devoted to him and spends most of her time taking care of him. His younger sister, Casey gets neglected in the process and has her own issues to deal with. Doug, the father, leaves for 8 months because he cannot handle that his son has Autism. That leaves Elsa to do it all. Sam sees a therapist to deal with all that and he falls in love with her. He decides he wants to find a pretend girlfriend before he believes Julia will be his real girlfriend. Paige, is the pretend one and when she finds out at a family dinner she wants nothing to do with him.
Sam deals with so many things in his life. He uses headphones to block out the noise around him. He decides to go to college after high school and living in a dorm is too much for him.
This is not only a journey about Sam but his whole family and all they go through in life.
I recommend it and feel people can learn a lot from the mistakes they make and learn about Autism in the process.
If you do not have Netflix, maybe, you can find it on something else.
Glad you are enjoying the show.
I heard about the show but never saw it so thanks for the overview.
You are welcome. Check it out if you want to. I like it very much but not everyone has the same taste.
Thanks for posting this article. I haven’t heard of it yet. If it comes to South-African Television , I’ll take a look.
Good and please let me know what you think of it.
