Pakistan has started first-ever Metro Bus service as local transport for the people of Lahore in 2010. The credit of introducing the first Metro service goes to the Government of Punjab.
The route of this Metro service is about 23 KM, from Shahdara to Gajomata, covering all the major parts of the city. In a densely populated city like Lahore, this bus service is not less then blessing in disguise. Due to this service, now people can travel from one part of the city to another quite quickly and comfortably. Now other provinces of the country also following the footstep of Punjab Government and planning to start this kind of service in all other major cities of the country.

I always travel in public transport.
I rarely use public transportation but its existence, along with other modes, can quite reduce traffic jam in Jakarta.
This kind of service is great because it has a separate routs.
The same thing also applies in my city, we call it Trans Jakarta, which uses a special lane that is separate from the private vehicle lane and serves very many routes.
There was a time that the government owned the Metro buses here called Manila Transit. When it stopped operation and the private companies took over the roads, traffic became worse.
Private transport companies always become a problem after a few years of its operation.
Public transportation here does not come very often and you cannot really rely on it
Completely agree with you.
I rarely use public transportation.
