The slide was scanned using a Wolverine F2D Mighty scanner.
Editing was done using Luminar Flex 1.1. I used the Develop filter to increase the contrast, blacks and clarity, open up the shadows a bit and decrease the highlights and whites. Then I added the Accent AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. Next I increased the vibrance and structure. Lastly I used the Erase tool to get rid of a black line at the bottom of the image caused by the slide not being seated properly in the frame.

Do people in your part of the world celebrate Halloween?

No

Latvia was not fond of celebrating Halloween one of my favorties but young people did fill the bars and kid wore costumes to school. We always bought a pumpkin to carve because we did some private celebrating. Now that I am back in the states I have no one to celebrate with.
Sorry to hear that. We used to carve a pumpkin when my kids were little but they never much like wearing costumes.
The day of the pumpkin is coming next month.
Yep. I’m looking forward to the decorations.
Perfect for Halloween. We seldom get kids on Halloween any more. It is so dangerous, many are having parties at schools and churches now. Not like it used to be.
This will be our 27th Halloween in our condo and we have only had one trick-or-treater in all that time. But you’re right. It’s no longer safe.
It is more a children thing in my country.
In the USA the kids celebrate by dressing up and going door to door for candy. Adults will often have or go to a party. The part I like is looking at the decorations people put on their houses.
