Yet another fruit that could be added to the ‘SpringDream’ list – Bell fruit. I have already talked about it in another post but it is fair that I add it to the list of ‘Spring’ fruits.
I just need to look at the tree and I know Spring has arrived. This tree is famous for giving us bumper crops but sadly, most of it gets into the compost pit.
The birds and squirrels love this fruit and we see them spending most of their time on this tree nibbling away. Since the fruits have delicate stems this activity results in fruits falling on the ground.

Any ‘SpringDream’ fruits where you live?
I have never heard of this fruit. We have no spring fruits in our country.
This fruit is common here and not much in demand
I’m not familiar with all your fruits. Here, the sparrows in Deana’s garden do not bear fruit on the trees. They meet in groups and attack. There is no safeguard to stop them.
We too have birds visiting fruit trees but I like it that way
I like eating ‘macopa’ Java apple, water apple, wax apple, rose apple.
But do you have any growing in your garden?
I am not familiar with this fruit at all. What does it taste like? Is it sweet, sour, etc.?
It is juicy, sweet and with a pleasant flavour.
