WONDER

Wonder is a book about  a child that has a very different face. He just wants to go to school and be treated like an ordinary boy. But there he is with that “face”. In this book you get an inside perspective from different people as everyone tries to come to terms with the situation.

The book was included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list and was a #1 New York Times bestseller.

Author R.J. Palacio called this heartfelt creation a meditation on kindness.

I have read the book several times and each time I find a new favorite line. The most recent reading with my oldest (of the youngest) we picked this one. “I won’t describe what I look like. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse. “

If you want to read a book with a child that will make a difference in the way the child will view the word, pick this one.
