Roger Federer is a rare kind of player who manages to stay most successful and most popular at the same time. He enjoys popularity among a wide section of fans spread across the world. While it is true that Federer has accomplished so many things in his professional Tennis career, his reign at the top is constantly being challenged by the likes of Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic from time to time. Purely from a performance perspective, all these three great stars are comparable. Nadal has eleven French Open titles and no other player has ever won any singles Grand Slam event so many times. Djokovic has had over 200 weeks at the No.1 position and he is a great player in his own right. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam titles, followed by Nadal at 17 and Djokovic at 14. Federer is leading at the moment but others are not too far. So it is not just performance alone that makes Federer so popular. There is some other quality about Federer that makes him so endearing.
