Lighting shot is taking advantage of the extraordinary lighting in the place. The most common lighting shot is the scary picture that is like a shot in a horror movie. The effect of the light creates something scary.

In our home, we take time to use a small spotlight for the effect that we need. Just place the light under the chin and the camera is positioned in front of the face. That shot would surely be out of the ordinary.
