Passions fruits are expensive here, so I bought myself a passion fruit vine and left in in my garden not expecting it to do much this year. The vine I bought was less than a feet in height . The plant didn’t show much promise at first, but after a month of adjusting to the weather here it started to grow and it soon out grew the container in which it was kept. I decided to re-pot the vine into a bigger container a couple of months ago. Now it has a couple of flowers and a number of buds which may or may not translate into fruits this year.
However, I am keeping my hopes up as I have seen a number of bees hanging around the flowers when they bloomed. I am happy enough to take pictures for now and hope for the fruits to show up. Very few things give me as much happiness as eating the fruits /veggies from my garden. I will be fine with waiting for another year and for the vine to establish itself well. I am in no major hurry. The excitement of seeing the first two flowers has been enough for me.

Such a versatile fruit you can actually make so many things with it. only the cost hinders me from doing so.
I love these flowers! I don’t think they would like the climate here, but I have seen them at the seaside.
Yeah I have heard this from the others too, maybe it doesn’t like cooler weather.
I hope to take a picture of the passion flower tomorrow when I leave work. I know where he is. She is very beautiful.
Waiting to see your. sadly these are beyond my parapet walls.
Every year I plan to buy one of these beauties. Maybe next year.

in the US fresh tropical fruit is way to pensive. So we get drinks or easily transported versions of the fruit.
I miss the fruit of the tropics.
