The cutflower business is down

In this era of the corona virus that lockdown is common everywhere, it is not a surprise to know that an industry is down and almost out. The cutflower industry has lost its glamour because occasions are not social anymore. A birthday will pass just like that with the greetings and maybe some gifts. But there is no more gathering, no more party. Even weddings are done online now. So where do the flowers go? Flowers have no more role to play in such occasions.

It is sad that flower farming have died for now and everyone is wishing their resurrection. Let’s hope that they can again stand up to serve us.

  1. I used to buy flowers long before the virus but they did not last long. We still have weddings here and funerals so people can order flowers if want online to go to the places or the people. I understand what you are saying. I have no idea if people still buy flowers here from a shop.
