The computer’s hard disk

The hard disk drive is the primary storage of the computer. The operating system which is the software that makes the computer run is stored in the internal hard disk drive. The files that you create can also be stored in that hard disk. Usually the internal hard disk that is also called the system disk is big enough to hold 500 gigabytes, that’s around a million pictures from your camera. But the question is what if the internal hard disk gets broken and couldn’t be accessed? How do you recover the files?

An archive disk is an external hard disk drive. It is plugged in to the USB socket to be accessed. You copy into the external hard disk drive the important files that you had saved into the internal hard disk. That is called backup or archive which means it is a duplicate copy. When something goes wrong, the files have an intact copy.
