The bear called Teddy Bear

I guess you already know the origin of the term teddy bear which was coined in honor of the US president. The teddy bear is a stuffed toy that is soft and a good companion for toddlers. But the teddy bear now comes in all sizes, from the smallest that is a key chain to the biggest that is bigger then human size.

Now it makes me wonder why we love teddy bear when the bear itself is not really that lovable. Bears are wild beasts that can harm and kill people. They are not gentle creatures to be hugged.
