Our star fruit tree has a bumper crop. Normally parrots devour the fruits when they are green but this time I notice quite a number have ripened and some have even fallen off.
I plucked a few straight from the tree when they were fully ripe and made a juicy juice. After removing the edges and seeds they were chopped and put in the liquidiser with a bit of water. The liquid was then strained and a sugar syrup to which crushed ginger is added was then mixed with the juice.
This is the first time I tried making the juice as earlier I had prepared jam and pickle. The juice tastes great and as you know star fruit is packed with health properties.

Star fruit always give a tangy flavour. I had not tested from long time.
I normally do not eat the fruit but make jams and pickles. This is the first time I tried to make juice and I liked it
It’s been years since I eat the star fruit.
I enjoyed the juice because I added sugar syrup cooked in ginger. I do not like to eat the fruit.
Actually getting into making my own juices.
We have fruits in our garden and so we make juices of almost all those fruits. Nothing like home-made fruit juicies.
