ST MARY LAKE MONTANA

Saint Mary Lake is the second-largest lake in Glacier National Park, in the U.S. state of Montana. Located on the east side of the park, the Going-to-the-Sun Road parallels the lake along its north shore. Marys has for many years the largest man-made reservoir in the world. Ths 13,500-acre lake is also the gateway to water sports like boating, swimming, boating, fishing*, and camping in one of Ohio’s oldest state parks.

*Fish caught in St Mary’s should best not be eaten. To clarify, yellow perch and walleyes from Lake Mary may be consumed safely at the rate of one meal per week, according to Ludsin. This restriction is due to the deposition of mercury from the atmosphere, primarily through the burning of coal.
