The cuckoos have arrived at the birdbath. They have yet to make up their mind about getting in. There are a couple of small birds in there. Don’t miss the reflection of palm leaves – not something I get to click often. This photo took my breath away.
Cuckoos are normally seen perched on our noni trees. Noni is their favourite fruit Although noni has a bad smell when they are ripe cuckoos do not mind that bad smell. They know noni is packed with goodness.
This is the mating season for cuckoos. Soon I will get to hear their mating sounds – very pleasing to my ear.
Lovely photo here, we do have a native shining cuckoo but I have never seen one
These are regulars in our garden
How very lovely and I would also like to hear those cuckoos. About 4 AM here the birds start singing and it sounds very nice,
And now with the pandemic I see more birds around here.
The poll question has disappeared Do you wake up to bird chirps?
