A group of international surfers hit the beach to celebrate woman’s day, in 2019. The event drew lots of support and by noon Waikiki was a hive of activities, sunbathers, vendors, and even more women surfers.
Women’s Day is celebrated globally on 8 March every year in honor of their remarkable contribution to our society. The day also commemorates the inspiring role of women around the world to secure women’s rights and build more equitable societies. The theme for International Women’s Day (8 March) last year, was“Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change”, put innovation by women and girls, for women and girls, at the heart of efforts to achieve gender equality.
