In my research about the shamrock or clover plants, I came across this species of shamrock, called Pnk shamrock which grow from tiny bulbs. They lose their leaves and go dormant several times a year. The dormancy periods differ, and could range from a few weeks to a few months, is part of the normal growth cycle.

i read this in your shamrock story, thanks for the follow on i was going to ask for more information.
I wonder why 4 leaf clovers became the “rare” find. Are they simply more likely than pink clovers so that when you search you have a chance?
