Panorama: Mural on the North Side of Pratt Avenue West of Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago #2 (2019-07-21 15-48-05 to 15-48-20_01)
21 Jul 2019
Chicago, Illinois (West Ridge/West Rogers Park)
Nikon Coolpix P7700
The mural is on the north side of Pratt Avenue where the Metra tracks cross over it, just west of Ravenswood Avenue. It is composed of six separate images stitched together using Affinity Photo 1.7.
Further processing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2019. I adjusted the white balance (Auto option) and the lighting. I raised the contrast, clarity and saturation and adjusted the levels.

Lovely art work. I would say we have some murals in auckland but will never be exactly the same as this…
There are a wide variety in the Chicago area. A lot of them are very political, others, like this one, whimsical.
We do have some art they made on the overpass. I should get a picture of that – well I can’t but perhaps my brother could.
I’d be interested in seeing what they are oing elsewhere.
I am impressed that no one has tagged this!
Great pictures – do you know anything about the artist?
Chicago has a lot of murals, mostly under the railroad tracks like this one, and the taggers seem to respect them. Occasionally one will get tagged and it makes the news. Artists will come out to fix it.
I don’t know anything about the artist other than he has other work around Chicago aand Evanston. He works in the flying squirrel wearing goggles in all his work.
That is really cool, thanks Gary!
You are very welcome.
