The LSU Tigers proved they were the team to beat with an outstanding game against the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game this past weekend. This win propelled the Tigers back into the No. 1 spot in the national football rankings.
They will next face Oklahoma, No. 4 in the rankings in the playoffs.

I say Oklahoma but only because I like the name Oklahoma and I do not know what LSU is.
LSU is Louisiana State University. We won the game and went on to beat Clemson for the National Championship. Geaux Tigers!
if I were a conspiracy person I would say it was done on purpose.
But based on last week LSU deserves number 1. I don’t think OU is the fourth-best team in the country so LSU will have a good short for the Heisman, and the National Championship this year.
I agree. Several players have already brought home some very nice awards, including the head coach, receiving the SEC Coach of the Year award. I think there will be several other big awards coming the team’s way. Not bad for first year as head coach!
Ed O, Dabo and Lincoln are all long time coaches.
The OSU coach is the only first year coach in that crew.
It is Ed O’s first full year as Head Coach. He was named acting Head Coach when Miles was fired and then offered the job after the season ended. So this was his first official year as a Head Coach. He was an assistant coach when Miles was at LSU.
He was interim in 2016 and hired full time in 2017. He has two years already under his belt.
His job was listed as being on the hot seat in the last two years.
I have no clue who will win.
That’s okay. It just depends on which team plays better on the day of the game. LSU is favored though because of their record this year.
