Another wonderful day today! We went to Chindia Park and spent almost two hours there. I did not even realize when time passed. A woodpecker was drumming at the top of a tree and I tried to catch it in a picture. It was a difficult task to accomplish. I hardly managed to take two pictures.

Wow, I know woodpeckers are hard to capture, my dad, chased a picture of Piliated Woodpecker for many years.
It was necessary to run all over the park to catch her in a picture! ?
That is the burden of great pictures, lots of effort!
The woodpecker looks different from the cartoon version of Woody Woodpecker.
They are different in appearance but have the same habits!
That is what I have noticed about cartoon version of characters versus the real life version.
What a great shot, birds are such a challenge. Most of mine are taking indoors.
I love the woodpeckers. This looks like a Downy but he seems too big for a Downy.
It is Syrian woodpecker(Dendrocopos syriacus). It is a specie of Eastern and Central Europe and can be found in parks, gardens, orchards and forests. It is not very big.
