My daily picture – Poor kids

I love street photography although I can’t say that I practice it very often. These photos are taken the most often accidental, when I witness some unusual happenings and I try to keep them as accurate as possible, although the impulse to photograph them is certainly subjective. Most of the time I take these pictures in black and white, but …. it seems that some produce more impact if they are in color. This is  the case of this very old photograph, taken 14 years ago, which I found by chance in the archive. It made me wonder how the life of these two children evolved? Are they happy? Are they still poor? Who can know? They tried to find happiness as they could, in their childhood…..

I tried to convert the photo to black and white, because it is said that black and white photos portray feelings of soul, but … you know what? The soul has color. At least that’s how I feel about this photo.
