There is more excitement in my garden right now, my grape vine of three years is blooming . I have this vine in a medium sized container and gave it a hard pruning a couple of months ago. I also added a good amount of organic fertilizer hoping that it would yield at least in this season. This morning I was surprised to see it sporting hundreds of tiny new buds and flowers. I did not know that the grape vine has such tiny flowers.
I just could not contain my excitement for a few hours and had to share this with you here. I am posting this even though I know it may not see the light of day during this weekend.
I loved seeing the tiny flowers in the morning light , so fragile, so pure and beautiful. Everyday my garden tells me as long as there is nature there is hope for mankind.

that is awesome – my dad grew grapes on his minifarm. He did wine grapes (he was going to make his own wine).
I make my own wine every Christmas season, but I have always had to buy baskets of grapes for it. I think Your dad was someone I would have liked very much from what you write.
He was my hero, he is my hero to this day. He spent his life trying to help others!
My dad was my hero as well, I lost him to cancer when I was twelve. He passed on his love of gardening and animals to me.
i am so sorry. I lost my grandfather (my father’s father) when I was 11, but I got to keep my dad for many more years. He passed away 6 years ago.
That is a great blessing. You are blessed Doc.
We had rain part of the weekend and it is still cool. Waiting for the spring weather.
So it was one cold weekend for you. Hope the spring weather shows up soon.
