If anyone had asked about leadership when I was twenty, I would talk about the importance of being in a high position. I would have explained about being able to do those things at the top that affect not only your own life but that of other people. About the meaning of each higher step. Every leader has his own career and a unique path to it.

Our task and our best career are to have an interesting life. There is no higher attainment and cannot be. Career is just the path for you, a clear understanding of what you want, what you aspire to and how you will fulfill your aspirations. The path of others is not yours, you need to know and understand it.

Will we succeed? Success is determined by personal qualities. Some are cultivated and some congenital. Remember, there was always a girl in kindergarten or school who guided everyone. And who knows if they weren’t the ones who helped make a great career for their men? I am absolutely certain: besides those in the top positions, there is necessarily a strong partner. An invisible warrior who helps;  who devotes fully, encourages, assures, and inspires going forward. That rule applies to all leaders in the world of diplomacy, politics, and business.

And no matter who the gray cardinal is: wife, partner, buddy or friend. Most importantly, his advice and support help the leader stay on the heights.
