I was surprised by the number of things that you can use witch hazel for. Some of them I knew, but many were new to me. I hope that you find at least one new thing on the list.
~Dandruff
If you suffer from dandruff and dry scalp witch hazel can help. Simply massage the witch hazel onto your scalp. Allow it to rest at least 15 minutes and then follow up with conditioner and shampoo.
~Fruit fly trap
Pour ¾ cup of witch hazel in a jar, add few drops of liquid dish soap. The flies are attracted to the scent and get stuck with the sticky soap.
~ Window Cleaner
If you want really clean windows for a great price this is a good option. It is simple one cup of witch hazel, one cup of water and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle. It’s simple to make and works well.
~ Stain Remover for Blood
Soaking it in water and witch hazel 50/50 solution and then washing in cold water does the trick.
~ Bags Under the Eyes
Didn’t get quite enough rest and have a little swelling around the eye? A little witch hazel on a cotton circle may be just the thing you are looking for. A few minutes and the skin tightens up a bit and you are on your way.
~ Deodorant
Believe it or not, you can even make your own deodorant with witch hazel. If you want to know more let me know.
~ Nix a cold sore
If catch the cold sore as soon as you feel the tingle witch hazel will stop it and prevent it from blistering.
~ Refresh your nail polish
So your nail polish is a little clumpy. Add few drop of witch hazel and give it a good shake.
~ Use a an after shower spritzer
If you want to lock the moisture in spritze with witch hazel, give it 5 minutes and gently towel dry.
