It's a Blast

We just experienced a drop in temperature in a matter that 10 minutes that feels significant to me.  It was clear, cold and calm. The wind picked up to 10 mph and the temperature dropped down to -6°. We have all the shutters closed now and it is still very loud. I am guessing it won’t be long until the power goes out. We have backup battery for two hours, but after that we would have to fire up the generators. It might be a perfect evening to ear early and just head to bed. Doesn’t sound very festive, but it may be smart and warm.

Our friends called to cancel dinner plans because it is worse where they are. So  I guess I will hope for my headlamp to work so I can read in bed.

I guess it’s one way to say goodbye to 2018.
