It is better to give than to receive

I still believe in the adage that it is better to give than to receive. In doing that it means that I have more than enough so I can afford to give. One example is the picture that shows the bananas that I harvested from my garden. There were 10 clusters and we can only consume 2 clusters at the most. That means there will be an excess of 8 clusters that I have to give away. The neighbors are always thankful when they see a banana plant that is fruiting in my garden for they know that they would be given bananas when harvested.

If others are devotees of prayer for the good of their soul, my devotion is in giving. Since I feel that I have been receiving so much so I feel like sharing the bounty with the people close to me like relatives, friends and neighbors too.

  1. You are right it is better to give than receive. I had a hard time answering your question. I wish there was if you can afford to give. I find when I can afford it I can share some money with others, but, when I cannot I have to think of my cat and myself so we are ok.
