He's an Accountent

He is an account through and through. Numbers don’t lie. Numbers are accurate. There is a logical formula for everything in life. You just figure out the formula and do the work. It’s neat. It’s tidy. It makes complete sense to him.

I am not a numbers person and I am learning very late in life that I need to be. I am struggling to make those adjustments and it is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have never lived my life in black and white. There has never been one right answer for me, there were always several possibilites and that got me into the terrible mess of a life I have now.

Virily is an excellent example of my misunderstanding of logic and numbers. Referring a visitor seems simple. I tweet and fac book and friends talk to me about what I should and shoudn’t have written and about what other people have written. I know they read it from the twitter feed or from my facebook feed. But there are no points. He’s the account, so he says “Obviously it doesn’t work the way you think it does, so stop what you are doing. It is frustrating you and you are not feeling good about it. Why would you choose to be miserable over something you have no control over? If you are not happy doing it, then stop. Here’s my challenge to you for just one day. (He really means my whole life not just one day, but that’s beside the point.) I want you to set a timer and say outloud

  • I create my life.
  • I am responsible for me.
  • I’m in charge of my destiny.

Every ten minutes that you are awake for just one day and then we will talk.

  • Question of

Do you believe today I am setting the timer and saying the words?

    • Yes
    • No
  • Question of

    Would you take his advice?

    • Yes
    • No
