When the dog bites it should be put on a leash all the time and at home is should be in a cage. What happens when the dogs at home would fight? That usually happens when there is a new dog in the house. The older dog would be territorial in attitude that it will try to bully the new dog.
What we do in those cases is to keep the new dog in the cage. Little by little we let the older dog be near the new dog for introduction and familiarization. In one week’s time the new dog will be welcome to the older dog.

It is the same with cats. You can expect a catfight when a new cat comes into the home but later the cats work it out for themselves.
