There is not a tree resembling it around, but when I moved outside to flee from the stifling heat we are currently experiencing in Gauteng, province, it fluttered down out of the sky and landed on my head. Naturally, it gave me quite a jolt and for a brief moment, I thought it was a bird. Looking at it lying on the gravel I thought, how pretty it looked even in death and decay, it’s bold and varying shades of orange, the colors of fall. It is early Spring in S.A. so, this leaf is a relic from the previous Fall. I had a sudden urge to photograph it and this is the result. I hope you like it too.

I’m sure you must have Carol, thanks for commenting.
As Buddha teaches us is the leaf dead or in its next phase of existence?
That was perfect subtext to the decaying leaf.
