The science of meteorology has made great strides in recent years. Although there are way too many variables to ever have flawless forecasts, we actually are getting much better predictions than we were a couple of decades ago.

Technology has advanced so much in the last ten years we get too much weather information now!
I have a friend who is (was, he just retired) a professional meteorologist. He wrote a very excellent book called Warnings about advancements in forecasting and how they have saved lives.
In Lake Charles our weather man and weather lady are pretty accurate with their predictions. This is one true story, My late mom would get angry when the weather predictions stated that a certain percentage it would rain instead of saying “It will rain” or “It will not rain.”
I’ve heard that from a lot of people.
She was kind of old fashioned in her views.
