The cuckoo knows the fruits on the papaya tree are not ready. Birds are smart. In fact we depend on them to know when we can harvest our mangoes.
The mangoes cannot be viewed from the ground level as they are always hidden among the green leaves. But when birds drop a half pecked fruit then we know it is time for harvest.
I designed our garden with birds in mind. They have enough of everything – lush greenery, trees to perch on, enough fruit yielding trees and last but not the least the birdbath for them to frolic in.
Their chirping is our happiness.

D you get to hear the chirping of birds around you?

This year I had young birds in my garden for the first time.
We do get nests but I never see babies.
That’s a gorgeous photo! It’s so wonderful you live in peace with the nature around you. Many people who grow fruits don’t welcome birds.
My fruit trees are more for them than for us (lol)
I like birds and their songs. Maybe it will come again at a time when the mango is ready to eat.
You will definitely see them on your mango tree.
