If you’ve watched the 1990’s cricket, i am sure that you can’t forget Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose. The dangerous and fast bowling of both of them was a symbol of terror for the batsmen of that time. They both won several matches for the West Indies. In many matches, they have turned certainly defeat into a victory because of their excellent bowling.
Courtney Walsh was born on October 30, 1962 in Jamaica. He played his first test match against Australia on November 09, 1984. He played 132 test and 205 ODI matches for West Indies during 1984 to 2003. He took 519 test and 227 ODI wickets in his international career. He also led the West Indian side in 22 test matches. In fact he was the first bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket. He was named “wisden cricketer of the year” in 1987. In October 2010, he was inducted into the “ICC Hall of Fame”.

Yes he is a very tall guy.
I didn’t watch cricket in the 90’s. They advertise cricket a little bit better now.
The quality of cricket in 90s was better then today.
I don’t follow cricket matches or news, but it’s good to know a great cricket player. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your comment.
I met him. He was so tall and athletic. He opened a sports bar in New Kingston.
