I am slightly an introvert so everyone was surprised when I initiated a computer literacy workshop in our office. That was the time of the mainframe and the small computers were not even in the planning board yet much more that the internet was only a dream.
So how did I manage to conduct the workshop that was attended by more than 30 participants of all ages and position (in our company)? I mastered the subject matter to give me confidence. Once I had the confidence then the stage fright vanished by itself.

I found public speaking rather hard at work in front of work colleagues and people from other offices, but surprisingly, when I had to give a speech at my mother’s funeral, I had no trouble there in front of hundreds of people in the church.
Mastering the subject matter was a wise move for you, as it was for me in preparing my speech well too.
I am an introvert too, but sometimes we can get into an alter-ego of ourselves, and act out of our normal safety zone of being, I think too.
My congratulations on your success!
Public speaking needs much practice, doesn’t it?
