Christmas spirit at home

In our home, the Christmas season begins on December 1 when we give the househelps their Christmas bonus. The decorations are put up on or before that day starting with the Christmas tree and the Christmas lights. Whenever we would be doing the decorations, our dogs seem to understand that there is excitement in the air.

For the caroling nights on December 16 to December 24, our dogs are like sentinels in the terrace that they bark when there are carolers by the gate. We give money and treats to all the carolers as our tradition of generosity in perpetuating a nice tradition. But the best part is the giving of gift at home on Christmas eve. It is the finale of the occasion.
