I believe that everyone celebrates in their own way. One of the ways  celebrate Christmas is through music. Angels We Have Heard on High is a classic.

When I was very young I was in a children’s choir. We were an issue with the Latin phrase “excelsis deo”.  We just couldn’t get it right and each of sang our own version.  She finally taught us all a way that we could at least sing the same thing in unison.

We sang “in egg shell ish”. To my this song will always be the Eggshell Hymn and one of my favorites.

  1. That is a very interesting and innovative way to learn how to sing “in excelsis deo” by replacing excel by egg. I would never have thought of that. Your choir teacher or other singer is very imaginative.
