A callus is a thickening of skin. Callous is a figurative version that means you have become numb to problems, issues or excuses. Right now I am experiencing a little of both. I found some fabulous lotion that can help with my skin. I am grateful.
That callous that is forming around my heart and hope does not have an easy fix. It seems like any time I reach out and try and hope again, I am met with the same disappointment. Patience does not fix problems and create solutions. It just means you get good at waiting. You patiently give up hope.
There is a point when patience become detrimental. Moving forward must happen if people are going to succeed. Roadblock are fine, if people are actually communicating and finding answers. When those is charge seem to be biding their time, there is less hope and more of a chance you should pack up and move forward. The brave people talk about it and try to find solutions. Others just see the handwriting on the wall and wait for the ax to fall, again.
